On Saturday we celebrated CJ’s 4th birthday with extended family.
Lychee, red bean, and green tea ice cream from the Chinatown Ice Cream Factory…of course.
Obligatory family photo.
CJ received many wonderful gifts such as hot wheels tracks, a remote control digger, K’Nex, and logic puzzle games, but this year we also requested a good amount of books because CJ loves for us to read to him. And among the many good books he received, Robo-Sauce is absolutely our favorite. As stated, it’s about a boy who invents a sauce that turns everything into robots. But the cool thing is that as you read the book, the reader is prompted to flip the book around along with a long extended page that wraps around and transforms the book into something completely unexpected and fun. It’s an amazing book and I can’t wait to get the rest of Adam Rubin’s stories.
