Split Rock Water Park

On President’s Day, we traveled back to the Poconos for some warm-weathered water fun.

photo 2We drove up Sunday night and then had breakfast at Piggy’s Restaurant, the only great breakfast place up there. It’s a small pig themed hidden gem that served some really good breakfast items with the best home fries I’ve ever had.

And despite the long entrance and food lines, the chaotic locker situation, and slightly cold water, our kids had a lot of fun which definitely counts for something. You can read my tripadvisor review here titled “Affordable”.

It’s not really a park, but more of a large water gymnasium. We spent most of our time in the wave pool.

The toddler area had some sprinklers and a slide, but the water was pretty cold there.

And then there was the play hut, but CJ was afraid of the large bucket that dumped massive amounts of water every few minutes.

This fearless cutie wanted to go back into the water.

Considering that we planned all of this Saturday night, I think it was a pretty successful family trip. We’ll probably plan a little bit better and stay at one of the newer indoor water park resorts next year.
