No, That’s Not Mickey

On Veteran’s Day, we decided to head out to the city and show CJ some real dinosaurs.

Parking around the American Museum of Natural History was horrendous. One would think since it was a national holiday parking would be easy, but not the case so we chose to do two-hour meter parking.

CJ loved the dinosaurs. He really had a fun time looking all around and seeing all the dinos and animals in suspended animation. But we think he was wondering why these dinosaurs looked very different from what he was used to, namely why they were skinless.

We brought CJ to the Asian Peoples exhibit and he said this was Mickey Mouse.

Roar. The last time we came here, CJ was six-months old two years ago and our church was having a missions fundraiser scavenger hunt and we actually came in second place with some nice loot.

We went hunting for the Whale Room, but CJ was too busy munching on popcorn to join us in this selfie. We had planned on going into Central Park afterwards, but after eating Shack-Shake, it was getting late and we didn’t want to get caught in rush hour traffic.

The Museum of Natural History is one of my favorites! I think it’s such fun for kids and adults (or maybe the kid in us). Maybe in a few years you can watch Night at the Museum with CJ and go back. 🙂
