Last week was insane. Grandpa fell and needed emergency hip surgery, dad went to the ER with heart arrhythmia, and CJ had a high fever with a bad mouth sore that prevented him from eating. And to top things off, CJ learned to climb out of his crib in which he would pay us multiple visits late at night or early in the morning. Thankfully, my grandfather’s surgery went well and is now rehabilitating at a nursing home in Forest Hills, my dad didn’t need to be admitted at the hospital and went home that afternoon, CJ’s fever only lasted two days and his mouth sore is gone, and we got him an Ikea bed and although the bed transition has been rough, he’s slowly getting used to his toddler bed.
I’m thankful that the Lord has blessed me with a stable job that allows me the flexibility to come in and leave whenever I need to which made things much easier for me to visit my family and get things done. I’m also thankful that my family is healthy considering the circumstances, but I’m worried about everyone’s emotional and spiritual stability. People are getting stretched and tired, but I’m praying that the hope we lean on is secured in the love and power of Jesus Christ and that no matter what happens, we all can still celebrate what Christ has done for us on the cross.
