This was filmed about two weeks ago. I had purchased these alphabet flashcards when CJ was way too young before his first birthday and so we abandoned them and put them away. Well, since CJ has been talking and learning a lot since the beginning of the year, I broke out the flashcards earlier last month and CJ was able to recite over half the letters of the alphabet. I was floored because aside from reading to him most nights, we haven’t focused much on the alphabet, so I think he learned his letters from watching Sesame Street each morning. Now, CJ can successfully identify most random letters with up to five errors.
We’ve also been practicing his counting, and he certainly can recite his numbers well into the teens, but he has a difficult time keeping track of the objects he’s already counted and with those that still need to be counted.
