The first day of classes went pretty smoothly yesterday. I wasn’t worried about my classes, but more about what I was going to experience in the program office. Last year we had lines of students outside the door in the hallway and around the corner waiting for updated programs. Yesterday, maybe a four to five person queue at most? And I was able to program every single new admit without leaving it for the next day. This is monumental as I had stacks of new schedules to create last year and I was days behind my work. So much so that I had to have my classes covered so that I could catch up. Yesterday, no such thing.
And then to end the day, the praise team leader at church invited CJ and I to have dinner with Grace and the rest of the team for a fellowship dinner at Mizumi’s, our favorite buffet restaurant. I’m pretty sure this was the best first day of school I’ve ever had 🙂
