After picking up the wife from work Saturday afternoon, and winde the weather was beautiful, she got the bright idea of driving over to the LIC Flea & Food market held every Saturday and Sunday. It was a quick drive over the bridge and we found parking right outside the entrance. Although pretty small, the market was packed with food, dessert, clothing and jewelry, and vintage vendors all under tents. It had an energetic and relaxed feel to it. I actually ran into a few old friends that I hadn’t seen in years.
We also ran into some people from the Living Faith congregation helping a friend sell teas.
We purchased a sweet tea and CJ loved it.
The wife got a seafood taco that she loved.
The prices were a bit expensive, but this is Long Island City, the home of the young, rich, and upcoming. We hope to visit again at least one more time before the summer is out.
