Joju?

Yesterday I decided to venture out and get a Vietnamese sandwich, bahn mi, from a new restaurant named Joju in Elmhurst. When I walked in, I was greeted with a more modern take on the classic Vietnamese sandwich with choices from pork to Korean bulgogi meat to Japanese beef.

I chose the classic sandwich and I’m sad to say that I was very disappointed. The taste was fine and nothing special, but the chopped marinated meat was replaced with a few slices of ham. What?! Maybe I’ll try their other sandwiches before making a final verdict, but as of now there’s nothing special to be had at Joju.
