I always felt that any one particular exam is a poor indicator of one’s proficiency in a subject area and an even poorer picture into one’s academics, work ethics, and character. I’m a firm believer that persistence, diligence, and a relentless tenaciousness is superior to innate intelligence or IQ. Consequently, such qualities may lead to an increase in knowledge, problem solving skills, and experience while refining one’s character.
I, for one, did not do as great on the SATs as I had hoped for, but I think I turned out okay. I got to where I’m at today with good grades, excellent attendance, great parents, and by the grace of God.
